both I guess....Actually I just bought them so I wouldn't have to mess with the z32 setup any more. I'm not all that concerned with looks one way or the other, hence why I can't decide if the hassle is worth getting the black ones.

I have the laptop out in the garage on wireless right now while I'm online. I'm also doing some work on the GT6 right now and saw a spare spindle/rotor assembly sitting on the floor, so figured I'd tryi it.
The GT6 already has 2-piston calipers up front that are pretty good, but they're heavy as hell.

Personally, I'd put the red ones on, (I like them more ) but knowing your style I think I'd wait for the black ones.
Come on man, have some patience and get it done the way you want it!

screw it....I'm not dealing with shipping etc.
solution: black spray caliper paint. A few light coats. q-tip dipped in mineral spirits to bring the lettering back to the pearl finish. From the front they look black, and from certain angles they have a hint of red to them still. The finish looks like factory, and will be covered in brake dust soon enough anyhow. they're not bright red now.
done and done. thanks for the comments gents.
here's a lousy pic.

hohohoho, that makes. If I could do it over again, I'd probably get Q45 calipers.

Well - at least you went with the Black.....
I prefer the sleeper look as well!
Can someone explain to me the advantage of 2-piece rotors...if there IS any?
Nice piece of Kit, there Irish!

esp with your setup black is better than race red, but that is very interesting seeing an off red.
I am painting mine black in the next 10 days.
I got a lil kit with from peeboys
It has a brush and its not spray so hopefully it may be easier in some ways than taping everything.

so.....as it turns out, I talked to fastbrakes today. Funny story I guess.
It turns out that I wasn't supposed to get those calipers. Those specific calipers were sent out to the person (here on the org) who first tested the setup. He painted them red at a body shop. It turned out that the pistons were too small and resulted in rear bias and heavy pedal. So he sent them back (painted) and got a larger piston bore size.
Apparently, a warehouse guy sent the wrong ones, not knowing that they had updated the kit for a larger piston size.
So fastbrakes is sending me a new set next day air...in black...with a larger piston bore.
Will probably not get around to install until next week, so I'll let you guys know how they are.
