If you you have the eye lids on with Hids, do the eye lids produce somewhat of a cutoff point for the light output, or do most hid bulbs come with a cutoff point....I'm guessing so as not to blind oncoming traffic.

the cutoff comes from the projectors.. i dont know what eyelids would do, but its definitely not the bulbs.. some HID bulbs, such as the ones i got from operatic on the group deal come with anti-glare shields on them.. but they are probably made to work in conjuction with your stock housings.. mine work fine in my stock housings and don't produce much glare for other drivers.. however, when i pull up to a wall i don't have that straight line that cars with stock HIDS have.. but i could care less about that.. lol.. they don't produce glare, have great output, and look good.. thats all im concerned with

the eye lids would have to cover half the headlight to prevent glare

bulbs do not come with a cutoff point, its the HID housing or projectors. HIDs dont really work with ebay projectors anyways because of the crappy projectors.

is there such a thing like a cover or something that can be connected around the bulb or is it just solely the housing itself which gives off the cutoff point?

I made some glare shield from Aluminum sheets. I got from home depot.

Just cut and bend the sheets to mimick the shield on other HID kits. (My bulbs didnt have any) (H4)

Works great and reduced the glare significantly.
Good luck,
Anthony
