My friends alarm no longer honks when he closes the doors with the remote, he said he didnt mess around with the settings of the alarm or do any rewiring, any suggestions what it could be? or how to fix it?

 

See if the wires for the horn are hooked up properly. I know when i headlights got stolen they simply cut the horn wires which are accessible through the grill. Maybe they got unhooked or something.

 

assuming you are talking about the factory system, it might be under silent mode. on the remote, press and hold the lock and unlock button for a few seconds and you should hear a honk and the turn signal flash. that should set it to honk when you lock the car with the remote.
