Engine buzzing TSB

I found the actual TSB, but I was curious if it was actually doing any damage to the motor or electrical system. I finally got the auto trans tsb solenoid and TCM replaced, but I did not notice the buzzing until I was in a hurry getting out of the car the other day. Just wondering if it is doing any damage?

When you got the VB solenoid replaced, what kind of symptoms did your tranny have? (like what does it mean when it "slips", when my automagic shifts, the gears shift but the rpms don't drop right away with the shift). My dealer said they didn't find anything wrong with it.

If the gear shifts, your rpm should drop instantly.. That's how it is in my car... I think you should try another dealer!!!....

Yeah, I would try another dealership too if its possible. My slipping was real noticeable when the car was warming up. I have a decent sized hill on my way to school and thats when I noticed it the most. I would punch it in either first or second gear and it seems like the trans was dragging like it couldnt find the right gear. Maybe almost driving a car with a clogged up fuel filter. My vin did not fall in the line of the ones they listed for the TSB, but my dealership replaced it without question. They said if it does not work then they will replace the TCM, but they havent had to do it yet on any other maximas.

The new shift solenoids fix up the messed up tranny shifting. I had only my solenoids replaced and that took care of it. The TCM I have is the Y101 model.... the latest is the Y106 model....

I don't think they even tested it, I went for an oil change and asked them to take a look at a few TSB's (one being the tranny) and the difference of the mileage in and milage out was only one mile. So they didn't even test it plus they didn't even see where the rattles where coming from because whatever they did, didn't do anything. I think if I tell them to test it with me, then they will check it out. They are nice people though, you just have to push them a little

It is listed under the TSB in the stickies at the top of the forum page. You can either look under there or search using the function at the top of the page.

did not find the engine buzzing TSB on the stickies .... saw the AT slippage etc and rattles, but nothing regarding the actual TSB on the engine buzzing.
