How toget wire through fire wall

I looked in the faq's under the car audio section, but I couldn't find an answer to my question. Where is there a factory grommet I can run some wire through from the engine bay to the driver's side of the interior? The purpose is to be able to wire in a switch for the drop resistor mod. Sorry if this is a overdone question, but I couldn't find an answer.

1. Get a "close quarters" right-angle drill by Milwaukee - or Harbor Freight - and a DeWalt step-drill bit and drill hole(s) through the firewall under the dash.

or

2. Run wires from the engine compartment down behind the driver's fender panel and into the cable opening you see when you open the driver's door. This goes under the dash as well.

I've never had a car that doesn't have a factory grommet that goes right inside the car. Is the fender idea the best and easiest way? I'm only talking about 14 or 12 gauge wire. Thanx for the help. I plan on doing this tomarrow. I want to get my drop resistor switch done before track day on saturday.

You can also drill a hole where the clutch reservior would be through the firewall... I actually had enough room under the dash to stick a corded drill with a 3/4" bit in there.
