Do i need a NEW clutch and flywheel?

I test drove the car... it was a 6sp manual... and i have a few questions

do maximas in general have clutches that engage and disengage all the way close to the floor?... it would not get into first gear unless the clutch was floored...

im a tall guy 6'2 and i had to adjust my seat forward for that clutch..

the sales guy said this is normal for all maximas...

and the clutch isnt slipping .... but i still dont know if the clutch is worn or not... just help me out... also is the clutch adjustable?... he mentioned that it might be.... the car has 118k miles

can someone please answer this question quick?... i have to finalize the sale... and i am thinking of backing out if the clutch n flywheel are worn... and this has to happen today afternoon...

greatly appreciated.

also.... how much would you pay for this car?... 118k miles... no check engine lights are on... its in decent condition... has all the normal wear and tear for the miles... few scratches n dents n dings.... the seats are in great shape... but the ***** n controls all show signs of age... no maintannce records... it brought in as a trade in for a car at a dealership.. and sold at an auction to a used car lot. the dealership first said 8000$... and i compeletly forgot about the fees... so it came up to 9200$... and im iffy about it.... help me out... i really enjoyed the power of the car.

$9200 for a 3.5L 6-speed is a good price unless it is in crappy condition.
Clutch?.... Mine does not have to go to the floor except to start the car.

well.. its not crappy... nor is it mint... the seats are great.... the exterior... has a few dings...and scratches... the interior controls are worn...(steering wheel, radio, AC,

the center armrest.. has a small tear in the leather

the shift **** has a small silver peice in the center... that shows the gear layout... that thing is loose...

and the hood vibrates... but i think its adjustable according to a thread i saw over here...

--

the clutch... needs to be pressed in all the way for first gear... and the rest doesnt require all the way in but still a bit far...

check the clutch line. I think you could adjust it.
usually when the clutch is worn out, the engage and disengage position will be higher than normal.

i have no idea where that is...

all i need is someone to confirm this for me... and i will buy the car and tinker with it later... but if i have to put down 1000$ for a new clutch n flywheel job... i think ihave to pass...

and when you say higher... you mean closer to the foot right?... all i know is that there is no slipping.

If the clutch is bad you will not need a new flywheel unless you are going for a Lightweight one for performance reasons... A clutch kit will be about $300-400 depending on brand and performance level. + Labor... i would think not more than $500-600 total.
The way i look at it, if you are going to be making payments on it for any lenght of time... WHY buy somthing you have to repair...?? Clutch, armrest cover... dents, scratches, etc... it adds up.

well the armrest dent n scratches... i dont mind... im not planning on fixing them... but wanna make sure the car is still a good deal considering them.

and the clutch i still dont know if the clutch needs to be replaced or if its just me getting paranoid... thats why i wantd to confirm with you guys... which i still havent gotten a clear answer on ..

the clutch is not slipping
there gear lever isnt shaking... or vibrating...
gears are shifting smooth
only thing is the friction zone of the clutch is down there than i thought most other manuals are. (i test drove an accord 5sp.. n didnt experiance this... and that is the only other manual i have drivin)
