Rear springs/struts bad...replace all?

Hey all. I'm currently at 95k 2001 gle

I had the front struts replaced by the dealer (nissan's ext warranty paid for this :-) ) at 69.5k miles since one was leaking.

Now my rear bounces quite a bit when I have it loaded down with people or cargo. Also my car bottoms out per tsb NTB02-056
Springs for that tsb are costing $130 each.

Driving style/goals: I prefer 0 drop since it attracts the wrong people over here. However I am an enthusiast and prefer an even handling/comfort balance.

I'd prefer to leave the front as is since there's nothing wrong with it. But im guessing its better replace all the struts & springs even though the front is ok.

Just wondering what you guys think...better to replace all or just the back?

I have one estimate for replacement of just the rear sprints/struts: $728 for kyb struts and nissan springs by the dealership. Unlike other dealerships, these guys have good service and dont d!ck around, so i figured I'd get an estimate from them.

Other mods on the car: Bridgestone RE960AS tires, brembo slotted discs w/ hawk hps pads

You can run different struts front and rear, but unless they're of similar stiffness, your ride will suffer. If you don't intend to lower and don't need/want adjustability, I'd say go with Blues. I can't comment on the price as I've never priced strut installation, but the rears were definitely easier to change than the fronts (if you've got a blowtorch for those damn huge bolts, that is).

Cool, at least if I put blues or gr2's in the back, i should be ok.

Only thing is that since 2 oem springs are as expensive as perf springs, I think I may upgrade.

^ Yup... If you're replacing something with OEM that's as much as aftermarket, may as well go with aftermarket! Check out Housecor's site for drop comparison pics if you don't want the drop to be noticeable.

Or you could look in the classifieds to see if anyone is selling there rear SE springs. Which will get rid of the bottoming out problem. I have hp on stock se springs and I love the ride..

yeah, I thought about that too...but I plan to keep this car until it dies, so best option was to go all new. Just put an order in for eibach/illuminas & associated replacement parts...my wallet is really light now :-/ I can probably recover some spare change by selling my not so old front struts...
