How to cut bumpstops properly?

is there any good way to cut the bumpstops. I was kind of thinking or cutting the center one and drilling just a little bit through each the top and bottom in two spots for a real small pins and some Nissan or Toyota RTV the real sticky crap. Has anybody already came up with a good idea for this.

i used a hack saw. i couldn't see a way to re-use the rubber bellows that protects the strut shaft so i threw it away.

using the H&R's with Iluminas. I don't want to throw away the dust cover part.

I have Illuminas/Eibachs with the stock bumpstops. I did not cut them. Ride is great. I'm running 3 in the front and 4 in the back.

I had cut my bumpstops on my previous setup (Teins/Illuminas) and the bumpstops shredded within 6 months.

You can just buy universal bumpstops from Advance Auto Parts, along with the dust cover/bellows...

Bumpstop/bellows comparison, OEM on bottom and TRW on top:

The only bad thing is that the rear bellows won't slide over the top of the strut:
