Both cars are nice but i'll go with the one in ebay. But the auction ended already.
Good luck finding a nice one.

Buy MaxspeedCT's car. He's done a lot to it and before that he's owned like 10 maximas.

no offense to maxspeed but that car has been driven to hell and back. ive seen his videos and i can say that car has been driven hard and with that kind of mileage you never know.

maxspeed, im not doubting your car or your abilities to put together a car im just stating a fact.

its all about maintnace IMO , you can buy some maxima driven by a old grandpa, but if he changes the oil every 30k , I dont think that engine is going to last long. ( a good example is my friends mom has a audi a4 and she thought oil changes are done every 60k .... kinda scary huh?)

And any runs I have done are always from a roll if you havent noticed, which don't put as much stress on the clutch and drivetrain.

Thanks for the free bump tho

Wow unreal price on the Sterling Mist ebay Maxima, even had black leather interior impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to go with Maxspeeds car, sure it's been driven hard but he has also kept up on the maintenance and it has a ton of mods.

Sorry but, I am going to have to second staying away from maxspeed96CT car...

It has been driven very hard and I don't care about maintenance, the piston rings are weak on the 3.5 and frequent trips too high RPMs is a great way to fry your rings no matter how much maintenance you do... Besides, doing a ring job on the motor is not cheap.

Buying a used car is always a risk, but when there is video evidence all over the internet of him beating on the car... It's not rocket science.

i know that my car is well taken care of despite being driven hard but i would never buy a car that someone else drove hard. i know the lines.

My 2 cents: Stay away from making deals that are far away from you. I purchased mine out of state. Even though I asked all the questions, and had the seller take pics, ran carfax, in person I found some things that bothered me. I say, find a car that you can test drive and look at it person.

You can find a good Maxima on the web. I bought mine sight unseen from Sandy Springs, Md. My wife and a co-worker were tdy there with their job and I had them test drive it and send me additional pictures on it.

Of course being ex-military I had a back up car to buy in case the primary one sucked. I ended up getting the 03 SE 6 spd for $15k and it only had 39k miles on it. So keep looking and don't be afraid of Craig's list, Ebay or any of the other online car shops.

The best thing is that some of these places will ship to you for a small fee, if you don't want to fly out and drive it back. I drove mine 1200 miles and was smiling all the way home.

Thanks for the feedback guys!!

And SORRY>..... I didn't properly explain the two cars.....
either will be mine for $8.5k
the maxima on ebay DID NOT SELL. so it is STILL an option.

I see their are mixed opinions on maxspeed's car.
url to these vid's??

High-Performance=High-Maintanence.
so really, if the car is taken care of, I see no reason why it's a bad buy.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
anyone have a max w/leather and a sunroof for sale?

I would really like to test drive the car and see it in person, but if I can get a max $2k under nada value.. . . . . i'm going for it!

wow, no updates?

any vid's of maxspeed driving the max TOO hard???
I defend him in the fact that most max drivers have done it and he's not ashamed to admit it. But sometimes too much is Too Much....

so any of those I need to see before buying the car???

I second that, try to find a Car around your way. If maxspeed car is what you want, its not expensive to get a airplane ticket, go out their check out the car, test drive blah blah.. then purchase if you like

can't afford that option.... ya gotta purchase tickets in advance to get a good deal... i'm a student so i'm saving all the money I can Dad-gumol'po'kollegekido
I mean, worse comes to worse, I'm flying up there seeing the max wasn't properly described or something and has problems, and I buy a tick and come home.
and as I'm paying with a loan check, I have to have it premade and such.
don't really wanna deal with going to the bank and having it made and not comin back with the car then having another made when i find a dif max... etc.

meh, who knows. I'm getting a bit fed up of even lookin for another max really. I'm too picky
