starter ocasionally wont stop when starting

My origional starter was giving me trouble starting.
It had a dead spot on it and would only start 80% of the time.
so I took it out and put a Autozone (duralast) starter in
the duralast was good for 3 days (about 20 starts)
then one cold 30 degree morning I went to start the car.
the car started but the starter would not stop running.
so i shut the car off and the starter was still running.
I tried to re-start the car while the starter was running and nothing happened.
I pulled the positive battery term off and the starter stopped running.
I put the positive bat on and the starter ran.
so I figured the seloniod was bad on the rebuilt starter.
so I swapped it for another Duralast starter.
I installed it and started the car 9 times and shut off the car with no problems
on the 10th time the starter ran and wouldnt shut off
I took off the single plug that goes from (ignition) to starter and it still was running with the car off.
my battery ground was tested with an ohm meter 0.12ohms battery to starter surface.
the only ways I could get the starter to shut off was to short out the ignition wire to ground.
I checked my igniition with a meter and it gives me a 12.5 volt(on) and 0volt off.
the manual does not mention a (ignition off ground)
just a lack of voltage on the relay that the ignition feeds.
This is now an intermitten problem that happens in any weather 30-50degrees
today the starter is fine
tomorrow who knows..
has anyone had this problem? any suggestions?
