Front passenger seat Prob
Front passenger seat Prob
Hey guys i was cleanin out my max this mornin and a ran the seat all the way forward to clean out underneath it then i ran it all the way back once i was doen. Here is the prob i have now it wont move forward of back but the tilt part works fine anybody got any suggestions as to what could possibly be the prob?
I had the same prob but with drivers seat. It's probly not the connection. The screws that run the seat forward and backward are either tapered from the factory, or get tapered over time. Either way, the seat can just get jammed on the screws. I can usually just bounce on the seat a little while holding the switch and it will move. Don't just push straight back, you're trying to jar the ball screw loose. You might have to work at it a little. The first time it happened, I didn't realize I could fix it like that, I took the seat out and undid the screw. If you have to do that, just make sure you get right and left mounts back to the same position. Let me know if you have any problems.
I had hoped to find a pic of the underside so I could point out the problem, no luck. If anyone takes their seat out, please post a pic. I'm sure this is a common problem. My brothers max does it too.

First time it happened, my wife was in the car and reclined while I was in a store. I came back to find her frantic, thinking she had broken the car.
The seat would recline, but then not go back up. She reclined it more, but the seat would not move in the opposite direction. Finally she had the seat fully reclined.Jiggling the switch (as mentioned) returned it to normal operation.
