I had the same prob but with drivers seat. It's probly not the connection. The screws that run the seat forward and backward are either tapered from the factory, or get tapered over time. Either way, the seat can just get jammed on the screws. I can usually just bounce on the seat a little while holding the switch and it will move. Don't just push straight back, you're trying to jar the ball screw loose. You might have to work at it a little. The first time it happened, I didn't realize I could fix it like that, I took the seat out and undid the screw. If you have to do that, just make sure you get right and left mounts back to the same position. Let me know if you have any problems.

I had hoped to find a pic of the underside so I could point out the problem, no luck. If anyone takes their seat out, please post a pic. I'm sure this is a common problem. My brothers max does it too.

My right side passenger seat has not moved in Months I will try the "bounce" solution on my lunch break. Fortunately it's stuck in the furthest back positon as well.

I've had that happen twice on my 2002, but with the recline. It is something wrong with the switch. If you play with it (sliding it front-back-front-back quickly) the seat will eventually move and return to normal.

First time it happened, my wife was in the car and reclined while I was in a store. I came back to find her frantic, thinking she had broken the car. The seat would recline, but then not go back up. She reclined it more, but the seat would not move in the opposite direction. Finally she had the seat fully reclined.

Jiggling the switch (as mentioned) returned it to normal operation.

I'll post a pic when I get home. When my driverside seat locked up, it was because the washer in front of the rubber end point came loose, and chewed up the rubber end point. Eventually burning out the motor. There is a TSB out for this, but it doesn't state the exact problem...just gives a replacement motor part number.

From: Auburn WA,
I had this problem, but for me it was a penny stuck in the track that jammed it up. It happened when I went all the way back for cleaning as well
