http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...192077912&rd=1

1. anyway to tell hlsd from vin? (JN1DA31D03T524448)
b/c the user has no clue if it's equippped
what is the chasis code? vg56 or something of the sort?
i know it's in the stickies, but i have dialup and not much time

2. ease of removal of cloth/installation of heated leather seats??
or am I better off continuing a 3 month+ search of another max??

Looks just like my car minus no leather, nice! I think based on the drilled pedals you could assume it has the titanium edition which I thought does infact include HLSD. You could also have him give you the numbers on the plate on the firewall to verify.

For the price I think I would jump on the car, everything else is desirable and you can always switch to leather later as well as being able to do it gradually as money allows. Also the color should be Sterling Mist and not Titanium I believe.

It looks like that car has hlsd. From what I've heard if it has the aluminum gas, brake, and clutch pedals (wich the car in the pics does)then it is hlsd equiped.

That is a nice find for a great price if it really is hlsd then I say jump on it! I'm surprised there aren't any bids at all. Hope the carfax checks out well too!

The LSD came with the drilled gas pedal, and metal/rubber brake and clutch pedal, as others have stated.

Also, I am not sure about 5.5/6th gen Maximas, but on the old 3rd gens, there is a transmission code on the firewall tag and if it ends in a "V", you have a limited slip diff.

I just realized it does not have the TE wheels. The transmission tag on the firewall on the 5.5's has an "H" if it is HLSD.

This is a 5.5 gen. And yes just like the 3rd gens there is a code tranny code on firewall that will tell you. I don't remember the code off hand though.

Edit-It looks like you corrected the generation

the TE's have the aluminium "Maxima" lettering when you open the door on the bottom..forgot what they are called. TE's also have the aluminum colored vent under the clock and the rims too...kinda like mine

its still a good buy...make sure its not a "burner"

I would wait, you can definitely find one out there with less miles and everything you want. I believe the T.E. adds leather heated seats, heated steering wheel w special stitching and automatic climate control among other things: at least thats what mine has.

I've been hounding ebay for the last two months on every 02, 03 6spd max that's went through and not only is this one pretty close to the cheapest.... but it's one of the cleanest and close to the lowest miles i've seen w/o a price jab

maybe I'm missin something......

Your going to give up that easy because you missed bidding on a auction? There are tons of maximas out there for sale.

nooo! dont give up! maximas are so much better than sentras.. you'll find one man, just keep looking.. you might have to compromise on mileage and/or price if you're impatient though

If you were willing to drive it home from CT, take a look at the last post on this thread. It's easy to find a 6 spd max in CT

I'm sure you can contact the seller on that auction and he'd be happy to work out a deal with you.
