Interference with radio

OK so I was complaining about static in my radio some mornings. Well I found out what is causing it but not why. Whenever I am listening to the radio and turn on my rear defrost I get static. It completely gets rid of any radio signal I have.

I know that the radio antenna is integrated into the rear window but wouldnt have thought that the defrost would cause interference with my radio. I searched and came up with diddly squat.

Has anyone else ever heard of this problem/ know a remedy for it? Could it be the wire behind the radio is too close to the defrost wire? I am at a complete loss here.

For now I just dont defrost the rear window, luckily I am used to not having rear defrost b/c on my last car it was broken.

Thanks

check the signal booster in the rear passenger pillar.
