Messed up my headlights trying to clean them need help

Messed up my headlights trying to clean them need help

They were a little bit foggy so i took a 1500g wet sand paper and sanded it and now its worse than before can barely see the reflector. Tried buffing it with plastic x and it didn't do S#it, then i used aluminum polish it cleared it a bit but still its very foggy and need advise what should i do? but on the pllus side there were some chiped out parts now there gone

you need to go all the way to 2000 grit. go to autozone. they have it. then use the plastic x after. let the plastic x sit on the lens after you spread it around (kinda like wax). then push hard while buffing. it'll be all good after that.

He hasnt gone too deep. I used 100 grit for a minute or two before realizing it. It will all come out, just be patient.

1500 > 2000 > maybe even 2500 before polishing.
