I first want to say that I do not get on this site to often, but it is a great sight for information and has been very helpful.

I ask a question, I get a reply and thank the person and then someone chimes in (states that my question is answered in the owners manual, I think they were being a smartass) and the thread gets closed. Sorry I did not think to look in the owners manual because usually they are useless for information such as taking the side marker lens off the bumper. I understand that my question has been answered but why are the so many threads still open with useless posts.

I don't know if I took the reply the wrong way, I don't think I did because I have noticed the cocky attitude in other posts. What is the deal?

Basically, the thread was closed because the question was answered (yes it's in the manual) and this question has been asked quite a few times in the past. Closed it before it turned into a flame fest.

Thanks.

Ok

That is fine that it was closed and I tried to use the search feature or the How to thread and niether one of them worked correctly. I don't think they ever have. Maybe my thread should be linked to the how to thread.......

The search feature is a feature that Donating members may utilize, but there are free search features as well. But since the site was hacked a while back, there have been some issues with the search feature. With that, many links are now being misdirected and it's pretty time consuming to move all of those (which is still a work in process.)

there is a feedback forum right?

i have always suggested that the mod that locks the thread, should post before hand explaining why. will answer the question the OP has regarding why it was closed.
