How do you diagnose bad fuel injectors?

I've had several uoa reports performed on my motor oil, and the fuel dilution reading is increasing with each subsequent report. The last FD reading was 1.8. Iron and lead wear metal readings are also high. The suggestion I've received is to inspect the fuel injectors to see if they are leaking gas into the engine. I'm posting to see if anyone knows how that is done. Is there a way to do that short of taking the car into a mechanic or the Nissan dealer? Is it possible to check the injectors individually, or is this a situation where they all get replaced? The car is a 2001 GXE with the VQ30DE engine and 115,000 miles. I understand this can be a potentially expensive job, but I want to keep this car for a long time.

Thanks for your help.

you can actually check the injectors yourself to see if their spraying or not. i know your saying its dumping more fuel in, so i don't know if that can be determined or not. i remember on my old civic, i took a stethoscope looking tool and put it up against the injector while the car was running and you can here the clicking noise of the injector firing. other than that, you could take each one out individually and have someone crank while you watch the spray. i don't know if that helps but just a thought.

Here is what the tool looks like:

You can have the injectors flow tested to see how they are performing. Also, you can pull the plugs to see what is going on. There are many spark plug faq's where the wear on the spark plugs will tell you if you are running lean.
