I dont believe that maxima has hsld, i thought it only came in 03 ? can someone conferm with me? a engine bay pic doesnt prove anything bro ?

whey would you loose the stock TE 17s for them ugly a$s 16s?

The seller is just tellin u what you wanna hear.
hahah thanks for the help??
I don't consider clears the 'mods' i'm talkin bout......
and you're right, if you live in PA or CT there are plenty of 6spd's available but here in the good ole' South.
oh and you don't believe it does?
The HLSD option was not available until 12/01.
once again, read and i got a engine bay pic, the transaxle code was visible and I checked 'er out.
I dunno why the wheels are on there or the dash kit, i'll ask tomorrow for your peace of mind b/c i know how much it's bothering you >.<

Nice find man. Not feeling the woodgrain or wheels either, but if thats what you like then go for it.
do i like it? no... but crappy woodgrain and wheels are replaceable (the car's stock but won't be for too long) but a tranny swap [hlsd] is a little more complicated.... Am I the only one who gets that?? lol

Personally i think the hlsd is a huge deal. My 02 didnt have it and even with brand new falken tires it was very hard to drive when it was raining, especially over 55 mph on the highway. The car would hydroplane on the highway at 60 and it was definitely scary. I drove one that had hlsd and its a huge improvement in the rain IMO, i actually had control of the car. I would spend the extra money and time to have the hlsd.

those were some crappy tires, but most of the time just going into a higher gear will help too.

I think it looks great - just make sure you create/read over the contract just in case something goes wrong.

It really makes a difference when you have to quickly turn a corner, like when pulling out in traffic. Without it, the right or left tire can spin pretty bad and the transmission (if you have an automatic) quickly upshifts.

I don't like the exterior color or the beige interior.. but its a matter of personal choice.. but dude!! that fake wood grain trim and those awfuld wheels... surely they swapped those wheels... and pictures mean nothing... u wouldn't know if it's a good or bad car just by test driving either... So... just don't rush in to buying it... for 12k its not the best deal you can get...

Seems to me that price is a little high for what you are getting. I got my 03 SE 6 spd with titanium pckg and 65k miles for 10,300.

Sorry, but I believe that is a placebo effect. I have owned my car for 2 years, 1 year with with no HLSD and another year with HLSD, yes HLSD does help the car out amazingly, but to the effect of hydroplaning without it, I don't believe that is an accurate statement at all. HLSD is a great thing to have, but from my experience it helps most around turns and some what in the rain, but I promise you if I was going to break lose, it doesn't matter if I have HLSD or not, my tires will break in wet weather (if I drive that way)...
