hahaha everyone says to not put them in hahaha...idk but i dont like carpet and i want something different...maybe i can get diamond plate and get it black powder coated or somthing??? idk, i wanted to get rubber matts at first but nissan only has them as a dark grey not sharp black...
I have them too... I actually got them from a sixth gen and all I had to do was switch the sides. Meaning the passenger had to go to the drivers side. Both front and rear. Got them off of Flea bay... I will say I had to do a little cutting for the drivers side to actually work. Looks great for shows.
Also, I had mine powder coated black chrome. They don't scratch up and haze and all that bs. Get a clean rag a little cleaner and wipe em down.
Ah... a little dirty but hey...

The regular finish when you get them will fade and get scratched overtime. The powder coated finish doesn't get scratched up as easy and will NOT fade.
I will say this though, if you are planning on using these on the regular get a textured finish from the powder coating spot. I keep mine in the car but I leave my floor mats in turned upside down. Just fine...
Overall... If you don't use regular floor mats," turned upside down," to cover them then get a textured finish so they aren't slippery when getting in and out of ya whip. Be easy man...

I used to think that too, but I've owned this Maxima since Mar 07, I bought new heavy duty mats in Apr and I need a new driverside mat already (I really hate the rubber ones). I had the diamonds in a Explorer I owned and they worked fine. Guess its time to go that route again.
Mine are strictly for show. Otherwise they serve no real purpose other then that. I couldn't see having them for any other reason then that. Unless, they are powder coated some type of textured coating. If they aren't then they are slippery even on dry days.
+1 on hating the carpet. Mine always wear out prematurely from my heels and slipping seems to be a small footed persons problem, such as my wife; size 7 compared to my size 14's.
LOL if you hate carpet so much then why not remove it completely and then you will have a metal surface everywhere? I'd think getting them powdercoated or maybe even rhino-lined would be the way to go if you want them in there all the time, otherwise like has been mentioned they are just going to be very slippery.

Talk about overkill...
