Power Steering Belt Help

Is there any easy way to get to the power steering ajustment bolt on the side of the assembly to loosen it so i could replace the belt, not one tool i have can access the side bolt , not even my box end gear wrenches. , seems i would have to raise or lower the engine to get to it and that seems to extreme.

It might be one of those you just need to walk away from for a little bit then come back. I dont really know how that helps but works for me sometimes.

Once you take the wheel and splash guard off you should be able to reach it from the wheel well. You may want to use a long offset wrench. I've removed it several times this way.

There are other threads that provide additional advice.

get a wrench with extension, space is tight but could be worse.

I just got cleaned up from replacing my two belts on my 2000 max and it was a biznatch to complete.

I have done it on a 1999 and a 1995 and had no issues, could have done it drunk.
This one however was very hard.

The power steering pump and tensioners were hell to get to.

Do not even try to do this without removing the tire first.
