BS eh?
that's so true. i had a set of s-techs on stock struts for a short period of time. i had 17" wheels and i couldn't stand the ride. the car constantly CRUSHED over all bumps and joints on the road. really bad combination.

i said you were wrong. i dont think that you deserve an explanation since with your current setup, you have no idea what you are talking about. im not going to waste my time on someone who has proven he doesnt actually care about handling.
you think that terrible springs, stock struts, and 20s ride great. you are clearly very wrong.
josh is explaining it just fine. i just refuse to waste my time on you.

Do you even read all the posts before you reply Ya, I said it rides great all right

So you can see it I never recommended using S-tech springs. I said H&R would be the way to go.

By making this post your wasting time on me

interesting...

arguing with josh when you have a proven ignorance of suspension and handling

me and josh would run circles around you and your set-up

why is there even a discussion/debate about this nonsense? Once you lower your car man, the handling that you once had will be slightly worse. IMO, the tires that you get to wrap your rims in will play massively into how your vehicle handles..Just take this information and run with it: the car wont be the same on 20's no matter what you do...its not really a sacrifice, but at the same time, dont look to be a "performer", and dont think everything will be like it once was.

It still boils down to what you prefer man.

As far as the whole 'angle' ordeal...OP, you were wrong on that issue. Its nothing to be ashamed of. No one knows everything! Just take the info and keep it as common knowledge to you!

are you serious????

its a known fact that when done correctly, a car's handling drastically improves.

only ricers lower for appearance.

common sense would say that it would handle bad. people dont need to do it to know that. because they know it will suck, they dont do it.

But besides that, if ur not into performance too much, going with 20" rims are not that great of an idea...However, if you are looking to have your car stand out from all the rest of the maximas and still have a descent ride, then 20s are not a bad idea. As aforementioned, i am running h-techs and tokico blues and have no real true issues other than the fact that when i have more than 3 people in the car, the rear right side always rubs but only on heavy bumps and such. Other than that everything is peachy! Enjoy your 20's when u get them bro. Haters will hate.
Don't make me take a cruise to the CT, We will take a vote................

i meant to say once you lower your car on 20s.... everyone knows that lower center of gravity= better handling. My fault for not clarifying that

Secondly, to the dude talking about

lol. Did you look at my post? I HAVE 20s Dawg! If you seriously think that you can make your max on 20's ride more comfortable than a max with reg. 17" or 18" rims then ur smoking something serious man...and i want a hit of it even though i dont smoke!

But for real....To the Original Poster....Lower your maxima on 20s...the only person that the ride and handling matters to is YOU...

i got 20s with tein coilovers and a otto front strut bar and it handles damn good better once i get another sway bar, but no not as good as a car running a smaller diameter wheel and tire. but it still handles better than expected. i mean if i was looking for all out handling i would at getting rid of this and getting something all wheel drive. im happy with my set up looks awesome and still handles really well. and the ride aint bad at all.

After reading everything People went illuminas and H&R or Eibachs thats what everybody seems to be happy with.
