recall help asap

ok - to begin im sry for not posting in the right section but i myself own a 5.5 gen and my bro has an 04 altima .. this ? is regarding his car -- recently there was a recall for the knock sensor .. now i brought the car in this morning to get replaced.. fine and dandy .. now i get a call at 530 saying they cant get it to work and they might have to change the ecu .. they had to call the main nissan in texas to fly a guy over night to work on the car - i was standing right there when they made the phone call .. they promised me (i had them sign a piece of paper) that it will be done tomorrow by 5PM .. now if they cant get it to work .. what can i expect? a new car? money back a law suit .. please help me and direct me in the right direction

I think the most you can get from them would maby be a loaner car untill it's fixed. They should do that anyway.

you will have to wait and see.. it is a recall so the work is done for free... don't expect anything else.....

Just make sure they give you a loaner in that way you don't get stuck without a car just in case they need to keep the car longer than anticipated.

they are not required to provide you a loaner car...if you are nice they might give you one, but they dont have to.
a lawsuit would be completely pointless since the work is being done for free.
