bad throttle position sensor?
bad throttle position sensor?
hey guys, when I cruise @ like 50mph my rpm is like 1500 and if I'm doing 60 its 2000rpm. But i noticed now that to do 50 now mine is at like 1800rpm and for 60 its like 2200rpms. Could this be a bad tps sensor or a tranny problem . I am really starting to get sick of this car because for the 5 months I had this car I had to get new MAF, alternator, brakes and now the suspension is clunking when I hit a bump and now this. So what you guys think is the problem? Thanx in advance
I'm assuming your auto. If you don't know how a torque converter works, suggest you go to www.howstuffworks.com to start out with. Your car sounds perfectly normal from the little bit you explained.

Probably noticing it before the TC locks up.
Tc=torque convertor? Anyway I forgot to mention that every time I come to a stop. For example if I was on 3rd and come to a full stop I would see the Rpm's would jump up twice. Not all at once its like bump still slowing down then a another jump. Also sometimes if I was going around looking for parking in school and then I put it into park and the rpm go upto 1500. Also could the cold weather affect the torque convertor?
