racing seats?

Hey does anyone have racing seats on ther 5th gen maxima? Ive been thinking about replacing my front seats and my rear bench seats with 4 racing seats..I know this would would look good because Ive seen em on the current maxima of the month and 1 other 4th gen max..Id also enjoy losing 100 pounds or more which of course would translate to power..I know my car will never run 11s,12s,13, and hell probably never 14s but I still wanna get 4 racing seats...If you do have em or know someone who does, any links to pictures would be highly appreciated!!!

What reason is that? For racing?

I like the look of racing seats. Plus, you can use the four-point harnesses to strap yourself in, which is safer for any kind of driving, even off the track.

Well, yeah, the fact that unlike the stock maxima seats, they're heavily bolstered, and will hold you in place under even the most aggressive maneuvers

I would like to get racing seats to, because the stock ones blow. The price varies tremendously, ranging from 200 bucks a seat to over 700 a seat. It all depends on what you want. Sparco and Recaro are really expensive, while Corbeau is rather cheap, all three of these companies make awesome, good quality seats.

Yea hopefully when I do get some Ill probably go w/ corbeau for around 200 bucks each..my stock seat are pretty ugly w/ the tanish/camel cloth..hideous! and I still dont understand how I "forgot the one REAL reason" for wanting to get racing seats when I said that by getting them I would lose 100 pounds or so which would translate to power.power to look good? NO power for RACING!!!!!!!!
I also think it would look awesome to have four racing seats.I just dont think Ive seen a sedan w/ more than 2.and thats a good point that they will keep my a$$ strapped to the seat when racing and flying around the curves and corners!!

I think the main reason Jolla was refering to was the ability of the racing seat to hold you in place, not the weight difference. The weight change helps too, though.

Can you replace the rear bench with two racing seats? I don't think the rear has the rails for individual seats. A sedan with 4 racing seats would look pretty cool!

Yea, your right, but it threw me off when he said "the only REAL reason". Id hardly say not moving around in your seat while racing is the ONLY real reason for gettin racing seats.to me real reasons include:not moving around in your seat, weight reduction, better seat belt(4 or 5 point harness),rollover protection(non reclinig seats)and yes my friends, LOOKS!!!

I didnt really think about the compatability of the rear seats in place of the bench, thats a good question.but it seems to me that there should be a way to bolt em down. I dont care about being able to move them.well maybe ill just strap em down with some string or rope since I wont be sittin in em ever!!! No im just kiddin there should be a way to bolt em down. and I figured id put black cloth over the metal part that would be in between the 2 seats where the bench used to be. if it turned out to be a problem Id probably just go with the 2 fronts..

Thank you

Yes, weight savings certainly helps, but there's nothing more annoying than sliding around in the damn seat when attacking the twisties.

As for looking better, I agree, anything looks better than the stockers.
