Input on favorite spring/shock combos!

What are peoples spring/shock combinations for both Eibach and H&R springs. I'm leaning toward Eibach/Tokico, any feedback?

eibach/tokicos are great changes the entire feel of the car esp around corners!

Tokicos tend to not last very long from what I hear.... Konis are good but stiff. KYB adjustables are also available now....

There are also Progress Springs too. I think they might drop lower than Eibachs or H&R. Not sure though, might as well check them out. I know someone has them on here. Do a search for them.

yo what up...i have the progress springs and so does ToyLet902..he has em w/ tokicoz so u might wanna PM him for more on that; im running on stock shocks but as soon as i can get sum money gonna get sum konis or kybs [i juss need to find out how long kyb's last, cuz if they last as life-long like the koni's prolly go w/ kyb]...unless u want the best performance and r willing to lose ride quality, i say go w/ progress cuz imo they look the lowest and dont ride as well as h&r [or so ive heard] but not as stiff as eibach......payce

I have Progress springs on my car and I know they are definitly lower than eibach or h&r. I was also happy about how close the ride is to the comfort of stock..of course since the car is almost 2 in. lower it handles and corners better..The best part of it is they cost $150. shipped. I cant say for shocks/struts because I was too low budget to afford them!!! As for my pictures, I took them only a couple weeks after install so in 6 months to a year it should be fully settled and even lower!

before I did order my springs I had read a post or two where a couple of(dont remember who, definitly 5th geners) people w/progress springs and no after market shocks/struts said they didnt have any prolems yet..I think the one guy said he had his in for a year and the other said 6 months..so i guess it all depends!!

I have Eibach Pro-Kit with Tokico, of which was installed a couple of months ago.

As said before, the ride is a little bumpier than stock SE, but no body roll around corners, or that feeling as if the car is floating over hills!

Very impressed, and happy!

Hey Y2KevSE, Where did you get the Koni's? Are those Yellow's? How much? I'm a fond admirer of the yellow's (Had them on my prior car) and would prefer Koni's to anything else. I can't find them anywhere yet...

isnt your car considered illegal since your in hawaii? i thought if you had like a 1" sticker on your car, the sticker didnt come with the car so its illegal there.

...but are they a simple replacement/fit or does there need to be some modifications done to them in order for them to fit since they're for the 4th Gen?

Ask for Maxima.org discount if you get the Konis. For strut modifications, go to http://www.performanceix.com

any speed shop should be able to do it... but you could do it yourself... the fronts should not be so bad, but the rear strut mounts are a little tough to get to...

If you are saying spring compressor or something I highly reccomend that you do NOT do the install yourself. Seriously, you could get hurt. If you can't do it yourself spend the $60-100 and pay to get it installed at a reputable shop the first time.
