Thats how mine is too, Shaved emblems look good, but it look so much better if you paint the trunk keyhole bodycolor also

normal black spray paint.

remove whole assembly
tape off back part
paint
dry
reinstall

I kept going back and forth on this whole debadging thing, but that comment about it being right for some colors over other colors really rings true. In my case, chrome lettering looks just fine on sheer silver, particularly with the 5.5 gen tail-lights. I've photoshopped the badges off my car's back end a number of times, always very undecided. Couldn't quite figure it out until reading this.

Debadging is out of my head now. Nice! On to other things...

i was thinking of debadging my car and wondering if i take the nissan emblem off too and fill it with like bondo or something then just paint over it and the keyhole if it would be too noticeable?

I love the back with the badges off it looks so much better. I have had mine off sence day one, but I also took the nissan badge off.
