Weird power/fuse issues

Friend needs help w/his 5th gen:

I just changed my stock HU to an aftermarket one
Now if I don’t start the car in longer than 24 hours, both the trip a and b are reset to 0.
Is this normal?

Secondly, my ac/temperature/ac mode are not lit anymore, which fuse should I look for?

Thanks in advance.

While you're down there, just look through all of the fuses...

Is the gauge cluster completely losing power, or are the only symptoms his trips being reset?

Hi, thanks for responding.
The trip a and b are reset if I don't use the car for a while.

I did look at the fuse at least half a dozen to no avail (for the ac/temp/ac mode, below the stock hu)

Thanks again!

afaik, there is only 2 ways to zero the trip a/b - you either hit the button or disable the power to the cluster. so, most likely you loose power to the cluster. keep looking for the fuse/wire.
