Update: Dont use that spray glue.. that stuff isnt strong enough around tight edges, or maybe i just didnt use enough, but the felt around the inner edge is peeling off a little. If you look close you can see it in the pic above the chrome bar that runs across.

Maybe theres something stronger out there.

Awesome write-up!

If I choose not to re-upholster my rear deck (I found one in gray!), it's still direct-fit to the Maxima?

Just wanted to say thanks to S1mplyV again for the write-up. I had this mod done yesterday and it's pretty cool!

I got a deck and unit out of an Infiniti I30 fior my 5.5gen, and there are actually minor variances in the I30 deck vs. the I35s (middle seatbelt slot is more to the centre; I had to remove the middle child seat anchor, Bose cover is shorter) , but it all still fit in the end.

Bump (I realize this thread is a tad old)

I just bought the sunshade and I35 rear deck piece...

It seems odd to me that there are two illumination wires (the two cut wires) according to simply_v. I would like to know if anyone bothered to hook up the illumination on the switch and how they did it?
