HELP!!!! Maxima hub fitting question
Hey org. members, was wondering if you can help me. My cousin's 02 max's hub is all messed up and I was planning on using a hub from a 4th gen. Well my question is would the 4th gen hub fit on the 5th gen? Or can I just put the 4th gen spindle on the the 5th gen? Thanks.

Do you have one laying around you want to use? That's the only reason I can imagine trying to fit an A32 hub on there...
I know that the steering knuckle is different (bolt spacing for the lower part of the strut is longer), not sure about the hub proper.
A32 hub assy - 40202-31U01
A33 hub assy - 40202-2Y010
Of course, they're sold as assemblies only so the diff part number could just mean the knurl on studs changed (although I just checked and they're the same PN), or something stupid like that.
Wheel bearing shows to be diff (40210-30R01 vs 40210-2Y000), so it might mean a different diameter or something of the sort. Worth a try, I'd imagine.

if i remember it correctly, A33 bearings are a little wider, so they defenatelly can't be interchanged. And a different (dimensionally) bearing most likely means a different hub.
As for the steering knuckle... besides the bolt spacing mentioned above, there are two more things that are different: caliper bolt holes (12mm vs. 14 mm) and ball joint cone angle.
