this morning i was getting out of my car and i saw my friend ryan gettin out of a Grand AM GT (the little 175hp "ram air" grand ams). this was odd to me because he was looking for a new truck, so i asked him when he got the grand am, not talkin **** or anything, just askin him about it. he said that it was his cousins and that he was drivin it for awhile, then he comes off with "y, you talkin junk?", i told him i wasnt then he gets back with "itll outrun that little POS". He was reffering to my 2k1 Maxima GLE as a POS, so i had to give him the B***H PLEASE look and tell him that i would walk all over him. well he told me we would line em up when he got back, well later on that day i was hangin out with some friends and he came rollin up in the grand am. i asked if he still wanted to try his luck, and he says "nah man nah". guess he didnt wanna try the Max after all.

 

Man that sucks...talkin crap and didnt even try to back it up..if I was you Id do whatever it takes to make him race you!!! make him regret aver calling the max a little pos!!!

 

lets not act like little kids...he probably heard that the maxima will walk him over so he didn't even want to run. He didn't know how good the max is..hehe...who cares what he thinks

my bud in 4th gen w/100K mi walked over another dude's 98Grand Am GT 3.4L "fast car". The same motor used in Venture minivans LOL.

 

today was day 2 of the "2000 Grand Am GT Challenge" and still no race!
his minivan powered "GT" needs to back up that junk he was talkin.

 

i don't understand why he didn't race you.. AUTO maxima's are slow

When you drive a grand am it feels fast..mostly cuz it loud and unstable..he probably thought he could smoke ya.

 

i just got rid of my 99 grand am gt. you can't own a gm after 3 yrs, unless it's a truck.
it wasn't to bad off the line ,no top end though.
they should produced the prototype they had. it had the supercharged v6 in it w/ manual trans. that would of whooped some peeps ace. but i moved on to better things. 2k1 max!!!!

 

Now you'd think that with your races with Medic's stock 4G, you wouldn't be saying things like that...

 

I think ill give him ONE last try, if he doesnt race me 2morrow, then i guess he knows he'll lose!I test drove a 2000 Grand AM GT, there wasnt much to it, and yeah NYC2SD, it was loud and unstable. I cant believe i actually test drove one of those. but then i test drove my 2k1, and that made up my mind really quick. I already had a 1990 maxima anyway, so i decided to stick with the best and get a new one instead of the "GT".

 

1. you can't compare a GrandAM to a Maxima
2. you can start to compare a GTP to a Max.. but still i don't know..
3. I don't know about you.. but for some reason the torque ratio in gears on the GT is lower than the max.. so you should lose stock auto to stock auto in short term.. unless you power shift.. but in long term you should CLEAN him OFF THE ROAD!!!

 

I was planning on power shifting.....kill the OD (ive heard it was best to turn off OD when racing in an auto?), drop to 1 and brake TQ to about 1500, then go! change to 2 b4 i hit the rev limiter, then move to D. should that get me a good kill? if he gets me off the start, he'll race until i back off, so ill take him in the long run if i HAVE to.
