I just got off the phone with dave.....cool guy!
I ordered the black sill plates...and the engine cover.
The plates should be coming next week...and I am going to be the first...or one of the first with the engine cover on a 2k!
Just got done Talking with Dave at southpoint and he told me that it will be an additional 50 some bucks for the mounting hardware for the engine cover! POOOOP!!!! I would spend 100 dollars on the cover....but any more than that I would get buyers remorse.
If someone has a 2k1 max ..... What is this expensive mounting hardware that Dave is talking about for the cover. He told me that it needs 4 gromets that are 10 bucks a piece. WTF are 10 buck gromets doing on my max! No wonder I payed so much for the damn car!

if you ask me...
they should have made the cover actually cover the UGLY part of the engine (the part by the intake manifold runners with all the wires, hoses, cables, ugly gold bolts, etc...NOT the pretty red valve cover!!! DUH!
