the problem is that they are poorly-made and bad quality....probably a connection came loose.

What brand do you have? Check all your connections. If any connection was to come loose I'd say it would be one of the solders from the end of one of the rings.

Do it right and soldier the connections. Then you would be able to pinpoint the issue better. Sometimes the rings just do suck, and I've emailed Matt at Umnitza about a month ago for him to send another ring since one of mine is bad, but no response. I'll call him in a bit to get another one.

my buddy and I installed umnitza's on his 5.5 gen. They have been nothing but trouble, wierd colors showing up, sometimes the rings don't light up all the way. Could be the wiring, rings, or ballasts.

Where do you live, is it cold there? Do you have the cold weather ballasts they offer?

IT IS the connections, GUARANTEE It. I had the exact same problem. 3 would light up and 1 would be dimmed purple. Mess with the wires and you'll see that they come on to rule out the angel eyes are bad. I have Umnitza. Solder the wires...
I do not have any lighting up problems anymore. But I sure had a few weeks with problems with them. Maybe I'm drawing too much power, they are wired into my parking lights though.
