PIAA Xtreme Force H3

Can any one verify with some pictures or thoughts on what
PIAA Xtreme Force H3s look like on our cars.

After countless times of studying...countless..threads new and old..PIAA Xtreme White H3s do not seem that great, yeah I know PIAA Super Plasmas are perfect/best but They are Discontinued. and easily misunderstood with the PIAA Super Plasma GT-X which are purple/pink.

I just want to get something to be happy with.

PIAA XTREME white on the passenger side, PIAA Plasma Ion Yellows on the Driver side

The XTREME whites match the stock hids pretty well after they are warmed up.

the best thing really to do it is to try and match the color temp of the bulbs if your for the look. For function, try the lexus yellow capules that some people often use.

there is also the HID solution. I'm gonna try projectors in the fogs for a bit and then maybe something else, possibly remove the reflector shield/shroud piece inside the fog.

I've got the Pilot Hyperwhite Simulated (ha!) HIDs H3s I got Pep Boys for $30. Pretty good match, and the light they put out is very white.

Yeah, they're a direct replacement for fogs on 2000-2005.

Here's the Max Bulb chart.

For those of you wasting your $$$$ just spent it on a HID kit. HIdlink is very inexpensive HiD source when compared to Xtralights! Halogen and HID are two dfferent animals it's comparing Quail meat to Deer meat....! I did a test on H3 and H4's and I've seen some $17 H3 & H4 (JcWhitney) outperform most of the PIAA bulb line (over priced!!!!)

I'm just being an _ss with you! My 03 Maxima is running 8000K upgraded HID bulbs which I adjusted down and the foglights are 8000K Hid kits which I increase the height off the beam about 1/4 - 1/2 turn cause them were aimed into the dirt. So I raised the beam pattern to fill the void between the headlight and the nose of the car, without causing a severe glare! I do care about my fellow motorist. I used to think BMW's lights were extremely bright now it's very common to see more HID on the road! But I did read in Great Britian it's against the law to install HID bulbs in a Halogen designed lense due to the side glare! But with HID's you don't have that extreme current draw as you do in Halogen!

Has anyone tried these? They say 4400k.......might look pretty sweet but I've never heard of the company, so I dont know how the quality is. Any thoughts?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H3-IP...spagenameZWD1V

Also, another question about the fogs......i just replaced the fogs in my car because they were cracked, so I got the lamin-x overlays for them. I have seen that some peoples overlays have burned. Do you guys have any recommendations on which bulbs run a little cooler so they dont burn the overlays? LED's dont produce much heat do they?

Thanks.

Ive had the Lamin-x film on my fog lights for years now. They have all eventually turned brown. This past time, I went with a thinner thickness of film. I still have a bit of a burn spot, but not as bad as before. But also, I reverted back to stock fogs since my PIAAs burn out. My lenses still cracked with the film on, I think it was due to trapped heat.

Agreed.....i am really surprised that some aftermarket guys havent made them with plastic lenses....I think they would sell pretty well considering all the problems with them.

Every set of H3s Ive had have burnt out in less than 6 months with the yellow ion's lasting the longest.

I used PIAA Extreme White foglights for years and yes they match really well with the stock HID's! I've tried Polarg, PIAA GTX( they suck), Raybrig, Luminics, and the shocker of all JcWhitney's Xenon blues and they pretty much equal or slightly beat all the above for only $15. The truth is.... only HID can match HID...Comparing Halogen to HID, is like comparing glass to diamonds!!!!
