2K-2K1 Headlights and Piaa Bulbs

Man o' Man am I starting to get frustrated with PIAA bulbs. Both my H3 fogs have burnt out and now one of my H4. The H4 works on daytime running and high beam but not regular. So how do I replace the H4 bulb in my headlamp? Is there a write up? I had it done for free by the shop I bought them from so I never ended up doing it myself.

Its probably the IDIOTS who Installed your bulbs probably TOUCH/GRABBED the Bulbs with their Hands!!!!!!!

All my PIAA Bulbs lasted OVER a YEAR ... and Still going Strong.

My 9004 Piaa's lasted over 2 YEARS, now sitting on my Cabinet!

Yo man ... I'll change em for ya ... I'll do the Headlights for free, but the Fogs are gonna cost ya some FOOD!

Cuz they Fogs are DAMN HARD!!!

How come U didn't come to the LAST meet???

It's VERY easy to replace them yourself...

1)Just unplug the H4 connector from the back side of the bulb by squeezing the tabs while pulling towards the engine.
2)Pull down the black rubber boot.
3)Squeeze the retaining clips' small metal tabs with your fingers, pull back, and swing down the retaining clip.
4)Finally, pull the bulb out by it's base.
5)Then just install in the reverse order making sure NOT to touch the glass on the NEW bulb.

Also, to make the bulbs last longer do NOT turn the headlamps on until the car is already started. If the bulbs are on and you start the car, supposedly there could be a voltage spike that damages the bulbs.

Its cake to replace...check the sticky on "How To's" for the write-ups. Not that I'm going to talk negative about the PIAA, but how about getting some White Thunders...has anybody else ever purchased of set of these...they're pretty nice.

Thanks for you help guys. I've done the fogs now twice! So from the sound of it the headlamps should be a lot easier. PIAA has a one year guarantee so I'm making the shop I bought them from replace it.

Take it back where you bought them. PIAA's warranty is 1 year over the counter exchange. My PIAA headlight and fog light bulbs have lasted so far over 8 months with no problems.

I live in Ottawa and had to go to Montreal that weekend. I wish I went looked like fun. I did the fogs myself so the headlamps should be easy. If my fogs burn out again I will give you a bag of chips you wanna replace them for me?
