I made my own intake but only problem im having is my car wont start sometimes and i would have to push the maf sensor plug in then after she cranks ill drive it about 2500rpm in 1st gear and its start makin a poping sound out from the intake i made a cold air intake should i just change it out and make a short one to avoid water getting in my motor or leave it?

the 2500 rpm is a sign that you messed something up with you MAF...you mean push it in like its not plugged all the way in? it should click in and be a b!tch to get back off... it prob has nothing to do with your intake,.. the car is not reading any air flow because of the sensor not beingplugged in.. idk if that helps good luck..

What I did when something similar happened to me was purchase an old / used harness (www.car-part.com) for about 75$. Found the plug in question, cut it off/spliced back into MY car’s harness, have yet to look back.
