2 questions..DRL's and rubbing

Hey..
I have 2 questions for you guys..

1) Is there any way to disable your high beams as your DRL's? I was looking at my friends Audi the other day, and I much like the fogs as the drl's. It looks very good, and I'd do anything to be able to drive with just my fogs on..no highs as DRL's.

2) I have a chance to pick up some winter rubber..225/60/16 for very cheap..on steelies. Will those rub on a 5.5 gen?

Thanks

1) Rewire fog lights: http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/fog_rewire.html
To disable DRLs go to the fusebox inside the cabin and remove the fuse labelled "DTRL"

2) No. They wont rub on OEM suspention....are you lowered though?

My maxima is a 2000 Canadian spec and the fuse is, in fact, in the cabin fusebox.

I am thinking that the fuse was either a) repositioned in forthcoming models (2000> ) or b) is located in a different place in US spec models. I thought that US models didnt have DRLs though? correct me if im wrong because I thought DRLs were only mandated in Canada?
