Acc/On power in the engine bay...

anyone know the best place to get switched +12V under the hood? I dont want to go through the firewall, I know there has to be something under there I can connect to.

yeah...

say... did you investigate simply grounding the pink wire (relay to Hlamps side)? I looks like that would work... *looks* that is....

well, I will use a relay to close ground on the HIDs directly... I still dont like the highflash (with lights off) issue. BUT I really need to get the alarm fix done before I screw up a ballast by accidently hitting panic while popping the trunk or something.

Well in that case, my MAF wire should be just fine. I talked to a EE expert and he said that the sensor in there does not get reading off voltages. So the relay I have tapped off that is not going to obscure the readings.

The readings on that sensor is done via ohmage. he said that the some 15milliamps it takes to drop that switch in the relay is not enough to screw damn near 99% of the things in the car, I mean the amount of power it takes to drop that switch in the relay is about the same if you tapped a LED to it.

No harm, so me, I am going to leave it alone.
