blacked out headlights

i searched the forum and couldnt find a write-up on how to black out my 02 headlights. anyone have a write up for doing this?

look up 'a.e. headlights' in the search, and look for the DIY, its practically the same steps

good luck my man, i tried and it did not look too good i burnt the plastic cover. luckily i had bought projectors already.

yeah I used housecor's site for reference and successfully got the clearing done..the biggest difference was that I used a hairdryer instead of the oven. It was slower but safer and worked quite well.

question do u guys actually paint the headlights black or is there a light assembly u can buy i just picked up an 03 maxi se with 55k on it

I'd reccomend using the oven over a heat gun or hair dryer because it's easy to crack the plastic when doing it with the latter.

People who melt or burn their headlights then blame it on the oven method are in denial that they did it WRONG. Follow housecor's guide, and you will not have a problem. I've baked my headlights open several times now with no issues.

I just painted the entire headlights black, right over the clear cover. Did about 8 coats.

At night, no light comes out anymore, but it looks MAD HAWT!

i have a 2000 se do i follow the same steps to try to black out my head lights cause the headlights are shaped like the 02-03 and as far as corners what can i do for smoked colored corners
