Any of you guys looked at the Phantom Grip LSD conversion kits? Maybe they could make us one?

Okay.. I'm close to canada.. can I drive up and buy one from them? $5 us should do it.

Seriously though... what about swapping for a canadian LSD, would it be worth it?

Yeah... it "should" be possible. You'll need LSD drive axles.

The swap "should" be straight forward since you're swapping auto for auto. IMHO it's worth it if you need a new tranny, but to swap a good tranny with that... probably not economical.

I didn't know you could have an LSD on an automagic? I thought LSD's were for manual only?

Of course you can buy your Max from Canada! See the big discussion going on right now "Invoice information on 02's". You'll get the LSD on either 6spd or auto. And the exchange rate is better today - they're now only US$4.95.

Seriously, you will probably save about $4000 by getting it in Canada and bringing it home to the US. I did it. I know of 60 others who've done it for Nissans and Infinitis. Toronto and Vancouver have the best prices. Write me - I'm glad to help out.

Muahahhaa ... All Canadian SE Max's come with a Big Bag of those "Little Crystals" in the Trunk! Ooops Wrong Stuff!!

But Yeah ... All Canadian Max's had em even since the 4th Gen.

Plus our Car's are about $4000 Cheaper, and with ME ... I get Nissan Cars at $750 above Dealer Cost!

Actually the Canadian tax or registration (I forget which) gets refunded and you end up paying tax in your state. But I was actually referring to income tax. The boys up north get reamed!
