Passenger side Carrier bearing...02 6spd axle

I've been having some serious issues getting this problem resolved with the violent shaking I'm getting with my car. I am going to be replacing the axle with an AutoZone "rebuilt" axle tomoorow. I picked it up tonight and saw that the Carrier bearing had "play" in it and basically wiggles in its spot on the axle retainer.

I wanted to know if anyone knew if there is any play allowed in this bearing before I take everything apart tomorrow morning and get disappointed for the second time because of this part of the axle. I had my stock axle "rebuilt" a couple weeks ago and supposedly all they did was the inner and outer CV joints but nothing with the carrier bearing. I was disappointed after spending $140 on this just to have the same problem again...

The problem I'm having is that the car shakes VIOLENTLY when the engine is under load. Cruising, the car is smooth as can be...I have checked everything from the hubs, replaced wheel bearings, wheels, etc and can only suspect the axle being the culprit. Just wondering if anyone has any expertise on this before I spent $5-600 on a new axle from Nissan.

All this aggravation from not seeing that damn pothole!

Thanks,
Clark

Pray its not a diff bearing in a tranny. Already seen a few on the 6spds or LSD failure, have seen inner cv joints go as well.

Good luck Clarke

This part is different on the one in the previous link. I have been having trouble making sure they both fit. I have been hearing a lot about AutoZone axles and other remanned axles being the wrong length. Also do you have a pic of the shaft end? Where the splines are? The ones on the factory shaft seem longer.
