Front End Rebuild

Front End Rebuild
Petitong gentlemen. I've decided to hold on to the Max for a few more years...I dig the heated seats, and the front suspension is in some serious need of attention. She recently started to have a constant resistance while accelerating, and has developed a subtle roar which is much more noticeable at highway speeds. When changing lanes at highways speeds the roar gets louder, moreso to the drivers side. And my gas mileage is HORRIBLE, due to the added resistance I suppose...and the shot 02 sensor. So far I've checked engine/trans fluids, good. Brakes sticking, used a temp gun, all similar temps. Parking brake has a little play in it, but doesn't feel like that's the issue. She's approaching 157,000 miles and I'd like to enjoy the next 50,000. I'd like to rebuild the front suspension, fix the resistance, and throw in the progress springs and KYB adjustables I have sitting here. Which leads me to..
What would you gents recommend replacing in the front suspension to prepare it for lowering? What do you think is causing that resistance and roar? What rear shocks would you recommend with the above setup? I'd like to get some G Coupe 18's on her after the suspension, then I'll have it like she should have came from the factory. The car just has a FSTB and cross drilled rotors now, nothin' heavy, but I like to turn fast. Excuse the ignorance, I'm just a Camaro guy who only knows how to build v-8's. Thanks for the knowledgeable input.
Lastly, if anyone around Atlanta knows how to do this work, I have a shop (detached garage) with air tools, no lift, but plenty of tools. I'd like to do it myself, but I lack the knowledge, and the time to teach myself along the way. Definitely willing to toss a few hundred for the assistance. Thanks again for the ideas.

anyways, if you gonna do suspension work, with that mileage, might as well throw in new LCA bushings, stabilizer link rods, maybe change out the motor mounts for some ES mounts if you're planning to lower it and mess around for firmer suspension.
Also, the noise you mention might be coming from a wheel bearing.

If you go OEM with the LCA bushings you will have to buy the entire LCA. Also I do not think the subframe bushings come separate either. Also if your main purpose is comfort and sound reduction there is nothing better than OEM in the short term. However, if you want to have a set of bushing that are moderately comfortable today and still moderately comfortable a 100 thousand miles from now go with energy suspension bushings and motor mounts.
