Yeah, but how dark, my BF's Y33 has light tint and it is at least 10-15 degrees hotter inside than mine.

I second that! I love my black on black with the black tint. Hotter than hell in the summer, but if you use the window-down function on the remote (hold the lock button on the key fob) the windows roll down and let most of the heat out before you have to get in the car - its the next best thing to a remote start when you can start it and have the a/c going.

I thought I was the only one with a black on black I35 sport. Now the fun is gone

^ Yeah, she loved mine so much but didn't want as big of a car.....problem is I want to drive hers all the time now instead of mine.

I am getting my Y33 done in dark tint like hers though. It Definately keeps it much cooler!

I've got 32% on the cars and 20% on the back windows of the SUV. Alabama is terrible about writing tickets for window tint and they are not cheap.
I've been pulled over for tint twice in the GTO, but never ticketed. It's legal tint, but looks much darker.

Black Interior

I love my black leather interior, even with 115 degree temps here in Phoenix. The seats really don't get that hot, it's the steering wheel and the metal door handles that get you, but they cool off fairly quickly. And here in Phoenix, if you have half a brain in your head, your windows are tinted and you use a front window shade. I also want to buy the engineer/designer that came up with the window-down feature from the fob a COLD beer--what a great feature. My wife's $45k Volvo doesn't even have this feature!

I'm not sure if there is something wrong wiht my car, but my 2001 won't do that. My 1998 did, but I can't get it to work on the 2001. Wierd. The previous owner said that it never worked for them either.

The feature might need to be turned on. When I bought my car we had only 1 fob and so I got a second one at the dealer and he explained to me that he was programing all the features into the fob.

Check with your dealer and see if that is the case. It might even be a code sequence that needs to be done on the fob or the dealer might have to program it.

I'm sure one of the experts will chime in on this.

More like crying...
I loved that feature on my 98. Of course, when I first bought the car, I had no idea it did that. So, here I am on the second day I have the car. I'm sprinting accross the parking lot in a huge thunderstorm, holding down my unlock button to make sure I can get in the car quickly...hmm, why are my windows rolling down and letting the rain soak my leather and carpet?

My gf's '00 GLE has the light tan interior with light tan leather. It's really stately looking IMO. My GXE has the black cloth interior, and though I think it looks sporty, it has nowhere near the composure inside as the light tan GLE.

I'm all for brightening mine up on the inside... or at least replacing my grey trim pieces with the faux woodgrain stuff... The grey stuff gets dusty easily, is hard to clean, and looks/feels tacky.
