I have done my research, but have found no info about anyone adding a SAFC to a stock engine.

I have a stock 03, is there anything to be gained by adding a SAFC II or NEO to my car? I am hoping for better mileage and more consistant performance.

No there would be no advantage for you to do so on a stock engine.

Get a baseline AFR and take it from there. 5.5 gens aren't very well 'tuned' from the factory with respect to AFR, so IMO, depending on your current AFR curve, you may be able to gain something.

It would be nice to document the gains, if any, from an AFC on a stock engine. I know when I go back to my stock airbox, my AFR goes richer than I had previously corrected for.

but to buy a AFC for $200 and then dyno tune for $80, to see maybe 2-4 whp if any and still have the same gas mileage is it going to be worth the money spent?

If you plan on future modifications and tuning...absolutely.

Modding isn't a money saving venture, so adding everything up, IMO, = :FTL.

Some might not think it is the correct mod to start with, but it is convenient since with each following sequential mod, you would be able to get more out of it.

You will probably need a SAFC if you plan on installing headers, to correct the AFR.

I'm debating on installing a Greddy Blue for the simple reason that it'll be convenient for when I do future mods. Right now the only thing I have is an intake and 17* timing advance. Would I notice any benefits as of right now? Should I wait til I'm ready for headers?
