First Time!!

I Went drag racing for the first time tonight in Savannah GA.
The first race was against a 93 prelude w/ cat-back and intake. Beat him by 2 car lengths. Second race was against 01 Celica GT-S, raced him twice and beat him twice. Forth race was against an S-10 pickup, no contest there. Final race was the hardest. Me vs. 3000GT SL 5spd w/ CAI, Y-pipe, and Cat-back. Beat him by half a car length.
I love this car!!

I raced a 95 prelude and beat him by 1.2 seconds, and he had a bunch of stuff done to his car...

You have to be careful of those S10, I've seen some running 12s at the track.

Wow, great runs! Especially the 3000GT SL. Do the VR-4 models have badging so you know what type they are? I know we can't keep up with the VR-4, but maybe with some mods and the S/C, we can take one. A VR-4 weighs 3760 lbs! The SL weighs 3300-3400.

In savannah, there is an Indylights race course on the edge of the city. On the straight by the pits we used one of those distance counters with the wheel on it and counted out 1320 ft. We marked the finish line and the start line. But, since this wasn't an official dragway, we didn't have a tree or timing stuff. We used a flagger to start each race(not as accurate as a tree, but it will have to do).
I know from my speedo that I was going 95 as a crossed the finishline.

I know this isn't the "real" dragracing experience, but it's all we got down here in southGA.
