5spd tranny swap
To answer your question you can use the 4th gen speed yes, but I believe the shift linkages are shorter then the 5th gen ones, one solution is to use a B&M short throw shifter the other is you can use the 5th gen shift linkages.
I just did this swap on my 5th gen Bsaically all you need is the 5 spdtranny, manual motor mount, new seals, drivers side axle, master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch/flywheel and the associated bolts, shift linkages, clutch lines, and the maunual ecu if you don't want any codes.
Just to let you know I have an extra slave, master, and clutch for the 5th gen just in case you need them.

what codes did you through
where are you and what do you want for the master and slave
did you use a 4th of 5th gen linkage setup
What i mean was youll get codes unless you swap to manual ecu. All codes were auto tranny related since the ecu can't figure out that it's not there anymore. I let them both go for 75 shipped from las vegas. Also, i used 5th gen linkages.
I was planning on buying a BRAND NEW VLSD from DaveB, so i dont have to worry about a broken junkyard 5spd
