Weird noise???

I notice my car making a knocking noise on the passenger side when I accelerate slowly. As soon as I let go of the gas pedal it goes away, it also happens when I slowly accelerate and swirve to the left it makes the noise but goes away when I swirve to the right. I don't think it's the cv joint. What could be causing that. Could it be tirod. Does anyone have any suggestions? It sounds like a hammer tappinp underneath and sometimes it almost sounds like something bending or rubbing?

Jack it up and check suspension items: sway bar endlinks, brake hose security, Lca bushings, strut assy security, engine/trans splash shield security, brake rotor backing plate, and tire clearance!

Check your boots and see if they look damaged or what not. A lot of miles? Even if the boots look new, it still could be internally. Another scenario could be exhaust mounts. When you accelerate, your engine rocks backward causing motion. I had the same issue.

Thanks a lot guys!
It is now fixed. I appreciate everyone's input. It was a drive shaft that needed to be replaced. Got it done today and the noise is gone!
No more clunk noise.
Yeahhh!!! My MAX is now running smooth again.
