ok so i got my headlights(2k2 lights) out and theres a module (not the ballast)for the HIDs that i cant get out its inside the housing and its connected to the connector for the HIDs, and also some wiring that its connected too. can i leave this in when i put it in the oven?

 

its fine...just wrap the whole thing with wet towels

 

and place it on a cookie sheet, cause if you don't the metal grids in the oven will melt the headlight.....ask me how I know....

i learned the hard y too... but how did u fix them after? did u buy new lights?

 

you cant bake the tail lights the same way, they'll melt. the only way is the dremel them open... at that point just buy 00 SE lights... less hassle.

 

what do the wet towels do? keep the plastic from deforming?

 

keeps plastic from "drying" out and cracking, this helps to keep humidity.

And to answer the question above, I couldn't fix it and had to deal with the wonderful smell of burning plastic everytime I used the oven for some time.
