Ignition Timing
Ignition Timing
I noticed that a few guys dislay thier list of mods. I'm curious on how some of you guys adjusted your ignition timng? I wasn't aware that the timing was adjustable on any of the VQ's unless you have a stand alone ignition...
please search for the info...it is available...trust me
It can be done using most any OBDII ddata logging / scanning software. AutoEnginuity / Cipher, etc.
for other known readers.
Most on here had it done at the dealer. The dealer charges, typically, 1 hour of labor.
I can do mine at will using Cipher, but it (Cipher) did cost a pretty penny, and I use it for other things too. The same can be done w/ the AutoEnginuity using the Nissan tool. Less expensive than the Cipher, and it does the same thing.
Keep in mind it is BTDC.

I doubt it, I've been a member for a little while and I'm still learning how to use this forum thoroughly! What I did try was a forum search and it pulled up 2 separate post. I'll keep playing with the forum and I'll get to where you guys are hyberwise! My talent/gift... is my mechanical inclination that god gave me! So... to Soonerfan and those of the like, learn to use your gift and knownledge to help others that have the guts to ask for help or ask questions that they may not be clear on! Don't hate! Participate! We're suppose to be on this forum to learn and educate on the common ground regarding our Nissan Maxima enthusiasm. Please...If it bothers you that much with some of these questions that were asked years ago, then please either help us Know where to look or just don't respond please! I do it all the time.....

so we should continue to spoonfeed people when the same question is asked AGAIN AND AGAIN...when we KNOW the info is avaliable

so,
you think its ok to ask a question when the info is available?
you thinks its ok to perpetuate spoonfeeding?
you think your question is so important that it requires its own thread?
you think you are too good to ask a newbie question in the newbie thread?
you think its ok if every single person start a thread for every single question?
and there is no rule stating that people can only post if they are spoonfeeding. there is; however, a rule that requires people to search before posting.
