Glad to hear you weren't injured. Some idiot blew a red light in Plano (TX) this weekend, broadsided a minivan and killed all 5 people who were in it (two adults, three kids).

Hey I'm glad to hear you're okay.

If you can get back to me with the price of the rotors and pads that would be awesome, I need them. Also.... really weird, but the sun glass holder.

Also, if I have enough money, I'll buy your tail lights if they're compatible with 00 Maximas.

Thanks!

It is your car. Paid off. Totally yours.

You will get it back. The towing company will charge a fee of course, but the car is your property.

i have AAA but when the accident happened i forgot to call AAA and some other tow truck towed the car to near by tow shop and handed me the business card. i will have the car towed to my home if they allow me to use the AAA service on totaled car? I dont think i will pay any charges for towing my car because the guy who towed said the other party should pay the charges. i am confused untill i get this sort out in few days.

Just because the car is paid off doesn't mean you get it. You DON"T get the car after it's totaled.

The way it works is the insurance company will buy the car from you for the value before the wreck. After that it belongs to them. They will sell it to a scrap yard or a rebuilder for whatever they can. They'll probably sell this one to a rebuilder who will put it back on the street as a salvage title.

You can negotiate with the insurance company to take a smaller payment and keep the car. Basicaly, You'd be buying it back from the insurance co. At that point you have to decide if you want to buy this wrecked car because it was yours or because you can come out ahead financialy.

I considered this when I wrecked my 3rd Gen 6 years ago, but what I ended up doing is selling or swapping off the mods (I bought another 3rd Gen the week after the wreck), and taking stock parts and putting them back on the car and selling it whole.

I learned A LOT about the car, as well as netting an extra $700 with all the swapping/selling I did . It took me almost 3 months though. But if you are going to buy another 5th Gen, I'd say put your mods on your new car, because the insurance company is not going to give you any extra money for them.

Definitely glad you're OK! It gives me a bit of confidence in the Max's safety to see that you pretty much walked away unscathed from this.

Floor Mats! What color? Dibs if they're black or gray.

I'll pay for the sun glass holder s&h if they're tan, and I'll buy the tail lights too if priced right.

Where do you live? If you're close enough I'll try and buy the wheels too if you can make me a deal.
