My neighbor has an o2 max and its throwing a code for the anti polution pump or something. He told me the dealer checked it and he has to replace a certain canister and its around $600. Can you guys shine some light on this as I don't even know what it is. There must be some other options for him and would like to know if we could even by-pass it?

EGR Canister? You could bypass, but it wont pass emissions, and it will show a CEL all the time.. you could try replacing it yourself.. Call up DaveB and get a price on it...

Charcoal canister? You can bypass it, but bypassing emissions components may screw you over, depending on how strict your state is when it comes to emissions and inspection.
