Acceleration Times

I have a new auto also, all I can say is that the automatic Maxima is faster than the 6 spd Celica GTS I traded. I would be surprised if the car's 0-60 times are not less than 7 secs. Time will tell though when the auto magazines start posting more reveiws of the 2002 models. Its unfortunate that most automotive magazines concentrate mostly on the totally redesigned models and not the REFINED models.

240 hp Altima SE gets 0-60 in 6.28 seconds (according to nissan Brochure).. They even have some stupid blurb about being able to pick on a Porsche Boxster...

There is no info about the maxima's 0-60 performance in the 2k2 maxima brochure, but the max has 255hp, weighs a tad less, and comes in a 6spd form.. draw your own conclusions..

You're right... weights on the nissan website show that model for model, the alty weighs less... ehhh... facts? who need facts??

Although, just cuz I always have to be right-->
the Maxima GXE is 3,218 and alty 3.5SE auto is 3,227 (ya, i know, not a fair comparison)..
